Judy Lawrence -- Program Administrator
Pat Visgaitis -- Bookkeeper
Karen started as part-time receptionist for St. Mark’s until she was appointed Office Manager in September 2003. Prior to that she was a lab technician and later moved in a receptionist at Wildlife International, Ltd. for a combined 13 years. An Eastern shore native, Karen grew up in Queen Anne’s County on a 300 acre Black Angus Beef farm, graduating from Queen Anne’s County High school in 1983. She married Dewey in October 1988. They own Mid-Shore Imports, Inc., a Mercedes repair shop in Easton. Karen and Dewey have two sons, Brandon and Hunter.
Pat was born and raised in Easton and and she has lived here all her life. (She is not a "come-here" like many of us). Pat graduated from Easton High School and worked for a finance company and an insurance company before joining the St. Mark's staff 37 years ago. Now semi-retired, Pat works part-time as our bookkeeper. -- She has two daughters (Cindy Schmidt and Lauren Dulin) living in the area along with five grand-children and two great grandchildren with whom she loves to spend time. -- Pat loves to travel and she has been to most states and 29 countries. In her free time, she enjoys walking and working in her garden.
Judy and her husband, Bob, moved full-time to the Eastern Shore in 2004, and she has been the Program Administrator at St. Mark’s for 2 years. She enjoys her job as she gets to meet so many of our church family through all of the volunteer opportunities available. The Lawrences lived in Montgomery County for over 40 years where they raised their 3 children. Over the years, Judy has been vice president of a land development company, on-line researcher, coordinator of foreign student programs and, while living in England, director of a volunteer program through the local hospital for teaching recipients of hearing aids the techniques for successful use. Judy and Bob have 6 grandchildren who live in Delaware, Virginia and Florida, and they spend much of their spare time traveling to visit their family or hosting family reunions.
Bill has been our building superintendent since 2003. He is responsible for routine building maintenance, minor repairs, and event set-up assistance. Bill is originally from Pasadena and he migrated to the Shore in 1988. In a prior life, Bill worked as a plumber with a local firm. He has two daughters living in Virginia and three grandchildren. Also, he has younger son who resides with him in the Easton area. Bill is a very avid deer hunter and if you have difficulty finding him in the fall, call him at his tree stand.
